Rules. We have 'em.
-Your application must be accepted before you do anything. You also must reserve your character before you write your application.
-You must be at least thirteen years old to join this roleplay.
-There will be no original characters or gender-bends.
-You may only have one character. After you reach fifty in character posts, you may claim one other.
-Make your display name that of your character (i.e. Alfred Jones, Arthur Kirkland). If they have no human name, make one up. Your birthday should also reflect the birthday of your character.
-Please try to write at least two paragraphs per roleplay post. Of course, in some situations it is not possible to come up with two paragraphs. We understand and will let it slide on occasion.
-Spell check your posts. It only takes a few seconds.
-No *action*/-action- style posts unless you are in the chatbox.
-Try to post in character once a week! If you will not be around for some time, post in the hiatus thread. There will be periodic activity checks to prevent inactivity.
-Refrain from anachronisms. This is a steampunk roleplay. Think about what people had in Victorian era (1837-1901). Slight mistakes are fine, but characters should never be chatting on cellphones.
-No godmoding! It is unfair to your fellow roleplayers.
-No killing off characters! If you want to leave the roleplay, contact one of the moderators and alert them.
-When speaking out of character, please indicate it in some way. Things like ((this)) or [[this]] always work well.
-Mature topics need to be marked with [M].
-When you want a specific person in a roleplay with you, mark it [Name]. If you have no preference, mark it [Open].
-Be kind to your fellow roleplayers. Characters will not always get along with one another, but that is no reason to dislike their roleplayer. If you have a problem with someone, contact a moderator.
-KEEP THE CHATBOX PG-13! There will be no sex or excessive violence there. Use good judgment and take those things elsewhere.
-Enjoy yourself! If you read these rules, stick ar .gif at the bottom of your application or add your favorite flavor of ice cream to the Anything Else section of the application.
